District Governor's Club Visit

District Governor Bill Spath and his wife Mary Lou visited the Rotary Club of Helena Sunrise on September 1, 2015.  He presented our Club with the flag of the Rotary Theme for 2015: “Be a Gift to the World.” DG Bill and Mary Lou have initiated a Literacy Project as part of their visits to Montana Rotary Clubs.  The clubs are encouraged to identify an appropriate organization within their community to receive a book from Bill and Mary Lou.  They are encouraged to donate books of their own to their selected organization.  The book that Bill and Mary Lou are donating is “Who was Walt Disney,” a book in a series of biographical books for children.  Their hope is that children reading this book will want to read other books in the series.  Each book they donate will have a label placed on the inside cover with the Rotary Four Way Test, the Rotary Seal, and the theme logo for 2015. The label says, “The Montana Rotary District 5390 2015-2016 Literacy Project.  This Book Presented by the Rotary Club of Helena Sunrise and by District Governor Bill Spath and Mary
Lou.”  Our Club was provided with 20 labels to place in books that we donate.
